My work colleague just emailed Free Britney America to work with them. They’re trying to contact politicians. A politician did go to June’s rally.
I want to send the below letter and added the organizations:
Psych Victims & Equality International, Australian Association to STOP Guardianship Abuse, MindFreedom International, PsychRights, Equality & Humane Coalition, Mental Health Reform, and PSSD Blog
Does anyone else have a group, blog, or organization to add?
Feel free to share it…
LETTER TO SEND AND SIGN:
Britney Spears represents millions of other victims who are voiceless. Coercion, human rights violations, control, pain, and degradation in the mental health system is experienced by millions who are unable to be heard.
Britney Spears needs control over her life, money, assets, and decisions as do millions of people who are fearful of punishment, force, and control for experiencing their emotions, thoughts, hardships, abuse, love, and adverse situations by these systems. The fear she has of being ‘evaluated’ is real.
For the first time in history, a female public figure in entertainment’s human rights is being fought for by activists.
We are organizations of victim’s rights, human rights, equality advocates, and equal rights groups in support of Britney Spears for over 2 years.
As Psych Victims & Equality International, Australian Association to STOP Guardianship Abuse, MindFreedom International, PsychRights, Equality & Humane Coalition, Mental Health Reform, and PSSD Blog, we have represented victims for years.
We spoke to Free Britney Spears Activists to tell them that they are fighting a system with many psych victims, went to some of the rallies outside her hearings, put out 1,000 flyers in California, and spoke to a LA Magazine reporter to set up foundations since we reported it online to the UN Human Rights Office, as well as started a movement of reporting licenses.
The dehumanization of Britney affects victims daily by being coerced, brutalized, and forced down after they are labeled in mental health.
Once people are labeled by mental health, they are no longer seen as an equal person or human which then ‘rationalizes’ the abuse they face.
The violations she experienced of social, physical, sexual, financial, technological, isolation, and other coercive abuses happen to victims daily in the mental health system. In Los Angeles alone, they use 4 point restraints in ambulances, which Britney experienced, which causes stress, pains, fear, feeling trafficked, and coercion.
People in psych facilities do not get technology, internet, outside communication, phones, education, employment, choices, or the rights that others do. They’re forced to and told to become invalids.
Self-death rates are the highest after punishments in psych hospitals for 2 weeks afterwards. The brutality of being called on makes hundreds of thousands of victims shiver in fear, including recently actress Vanessa Marquez who lost her life. Lives would be saved by more humane, open systems.
The criminal system has more checks and balances than the mental health system. Their separate court systems can become an indefinite sentence and life of being ‘lesser.’
Yet, they’ve had no voice or representation.
According to Australian Association to STOP Guardianship & Administration Abuse (AASGAA) on Britney Spears:
Britney has had her rights and equality prematurely taken from her. Every aspect of her personal life, medical life and finances taken over.
She was declared dead under law and her identity has been transferred to her father and his lawyers, who it seems are making decisions in their best interest, and not hers.
She has been denied due process and a fair trial. Lawyers and professionals employed have not given her equal or fair assessment of her capabilities and the medication she has been forced to take severely impairs her thought process and would affect her ability to perform daily functions.
She is a slave.
Her own money is been used against her to keep her enslaved and she is stuck in a vicious circle in which escape is impossible. Appealing this process only makes more money for the conservators as they bill her estate every time she attempts to escape their claws.
Their interest is monetary, and clouded with horrific views on labeling women, LGBT people, and people for their natural reactions to oppression, and not for her independence.
Historically, the Free Britney movement has gone further than any other for American Women.
Other gruesome dehumanizations and torturous actions happened to Actress Francis Farmer, and dehumanizations taken against Vivien Leigh, Marilyn Monroe, and Roselyn Kennedy. Unlike now, they had no one.
The recognition of these violations as being wrong was never before mainstream.
Many victims beg alone to be heard or are trained that the abuse they receive is “rationalized” and told should be effectively punished instead of embraced, given compassion, or more attention given. Britney Spears should have been situationally helped, and economically empowered, instead of coerced.
There are other young, female victims at the same high-profile level as her in Los Angeles recently who were brutally put down into coercion and their independence ruined, like Amanda Bynes – her life ruined as a result – and Lindsay Lohan being threatened with conservatorships.
At first Free Britney activists were mocked and ignored for being LGBTQ. Prejudices against being women, LGBT, bisexual, are correlating experiences and the conservatorships are hiding this discrimination.
We support this case and hope you will speak to our organizations to find victims who support this cause and for the victims who still suffer in darkness.
We want to work together so that we save lives by finally millions being heard. Victims should be first and foremost, and it’s crucial that we work on more humane systems. Britney Spears represents a shift that we need as a society and culture to save lives.
Signed,
